Job summary

The New York City Mayor's Office of Management and Budget seeks a technical owner for the Asset Information Management System (AIMS). You will oversee day-to-day SQL Server operations, implement reliability improvements, and lead modernizations of AIMS applications using Python or a comparable stack.

You will document core operations, maintain runbooks, and serve as the technical point of contact to ensure delivery aligns with program needs, with a hybrid work arrangement at 255 Greenwich Street.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Four years of relevant experience in database administration or software engineering, or a master's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer the AIMS SQL Server database for day-to-day operations and backups.
• Create and maintain runbooks, access controls, and recovery steps.
• Improve reliability by designing database structures and automation (Python/SQL).
• Design, build, and maintain new AIMS applications in Python or a modern stack.
• Review technical deliverables and ensure alignment with program needs.
