Job summary

The role requires data entry with a scan gun, pallet jack handling, reading pallet IDs, capturing model and serial numbers, removing asset tags, and performing basic audits.

Occasional weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to enter and verify data accurately in the Brokerage Management System (BMS).
  • Experience with barcode scanners or scanning devices is preferred.
  • Ability to read pallet IDs to determine Client and RMA #.
  • Basic PC skills and comfort handling IT devices.
  • Able to perform self-audits by comparing captured data to actual products.

Responsibilities

  • Move skids with pallet jack within the work area.
  • Read pallet IDs to identify Client and RMA number.
  • Capture model and serial numbers and enter into BMS; identify Asset Tag.
  • Remove non-manufacturer labels and Asset Tag with appropriate tools.
  • Perform basic verification of monitors, printers and related devices.

Job description

General Function: The Asset Recovery Associate I "pre-receives" product into the Brokerage Management System (BMS) for a specific Asset Recovery client and gathers associated data for that client. Ensure production and quality is maintained at a high level and procedures are adhered to. Associate needs to meet required receiving levels for eight (8) consecutive months to be considered proficient.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Use a scan gun or keyboard to enter data into BMS.
  • Use of a pallet jack to move skids to and from work area.
  • Ability to Read pallet ID's to determine Client and associated RMA #.
  • Locate item model and serial number to be captured and entered into BMS.
  • Identify Client Asset Tag so data can be captured and entered in BMS.
  • Use of a scraper to remove Asset Tag and other Non-Manufacturer Labels.
  • Use of screw driver to remove product from racks, cables from equipment, etc.
  • Basic understanding of PC's and peripherals, so that general functionality of monitors, printers and other devices can be verified.
  • Simple self audit of work performed by comparing data captured to actual product on pallet.

Employees are frequently required to walk, stand and move about to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must have ability to ascend and descend stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position also requires frequent lifting of IT devices ranging in weight from 1lb to 75lbs.
