Job summary

Interface Americas, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to maintain the asset subledger, oversee depreciation, and ensure proper capitalization in a manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Engineering, and Operations to review expenditures, support CIP tracking, and prepare monthly asset reports while upholding SOX controls and GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting experience required, with fixed asset accounting or manufacturing accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP concepts related to fixed assets, capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and CIP.
• Experience in manufacturing, plant accounting, or multi-site environments preferred.
• Familiarity with capital expenditure processes, physical inventory, and fixed asset subledger maintenance.
• ERP systems experience; JD Edwards is a plus.
• General ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to review capital spending, validate documentation, and apply policies.
• SOX controls awareness and data governance basics.
• Proficiency with Excel including formulas, pivots, and reconciliations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset subledger and record additions, transfers, retirements, disposals, and depreciation.
• Review capital expenditure activity for proper capitalization and asset classification.
• Coordinate CIP tracking with Engineering and Operations for capitalization readiness.
• Prepare and post monthly fixed asset journal entries and depreciation schedules.
• Reconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger and resolve items promptly.
• Maintain detailed asset records including tag numbers, locations, and cost data.
• Support physical inventories and asset verifications across locations.
• Assist with asset disposals and transfers ensuring proper documentation.
• Prepare periodic fixed asset reports and management analytics.
• Support capital budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with asset data.
• Assist with property tax filings, audit requests, and SOX compliance tasks.
• Provide audit documentation and control evidences for fixed assets.
• Identify process improvements for fixed asset controls and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve asset coding issues.
• Maintain fixed asset procedures and training materials as needed.
• Support ERP system testing and asset module enhancements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
