UL Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage fixed assets and leases under US GAAP (ASC 360/842). You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, and lease reporting, while strengthening data governance.

The role offers hybrid work (3 days on-site in Northbrook, IL) within the Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting Center of Excellence, reporting to the Lease Accounting Manager. CPA path is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years progressive accounting, including fixed asset and/or lease accounting.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge with ASC 360/842 experience.
• ERP experience; Oracle is a plus.
• Experience with lease accounting software, such as LeaseCalcs.
• Analytical mindset with attention to data quality and detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fixed asset and lease accounting under ASC 360/842.
• Reconcile fixed asset subledger, lease system, and GL monthly.
• Prepare journal entries for asset activity and depreciation.
• Validate lease schedules and disclosures for ASC 842.
• Support SOX controls, audits, and process improvements.
