Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking an Assessment Data Analyst to analyze Higher Headquarters Assessment findings, identify enterprise trends, and develop executive reports, metrics, and briefing materials.

You will support draft and final HHA reports, track corrective actions, produce data visualizations, and contribute to quality assurance through data validation and analytical research. Occasional on-site reviews in Fredericksburg, VA with remote work option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business analytics, statistics, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years supporting DoD, Army, or Federal assessment programs.
• Experience in trend analysis, data visualization, executive reporting, and performance metrics.
• Experience supporting inspections, assessments, corrective action programs, or continuous improvement.
• Experience using Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Active Secret clearance; DoD Cyber Awareness Training; OPSEC Level I.

Primary Location: Program Site – Fredericksburg, VA (occasional travel)

Clearance: Active Secret

Ability to work remotely: Yes, with periodic on-site presence for program reviews and coordination

OSG is seeking an Assessment Data Analyst to analyze Higher Headquarters Assessment (HHA) findings, identify enterprise trends, and develop executive reports, metrics, and briefing materials. This role supports preparation of draft and final HHA reports, tracks corrective actions, produces recurring performance reports and data visualizations, and supports quality assurance reviews through data validation and analytical research.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years supporting DoD, Army, or Federal assessment programs.
• Experience performing trend analysis, data visualization, executive reporting, and performance metrics.
• Experience supporting inspections, assessments, corrective action programs, or continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Active Secret Security Clearance; DoD Cyber Awareness Training; OPSEC Level I.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Tableau (or equivalent analytics platform) certification.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with occasional travel to installations and program events. Ability to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment (computer, phone, etc.).

Travel

Occasional travel (up to 10%) to support program reviews and stakeholder coordination.
