Job summary

Universal Health Services Inc. is seeking an Assessment Coordinator (MA/MSW) for full-time, 12-hour night shifts at the Aiken facility within the Aiken Regional Medical Centers system.

The role involves admissions, level of care determinations, and coordination with psychiatrists and providers. Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Counseling or Behavioral Health and licensure preferred (LISW/LMSW/LPC).

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or Behavioral Health (Counseling, Social Work, Sociology or Psychology) or relatable field with relevant experience in intake and admissions.
• State License preferred (LISW, LMSW, LPC, etc.)
• Registered Nurses (RNs) encouraged to apply.
• Minimum one year experience in mental health setting performing assessments.

Responsibilities

• Include addressing needs of telephonic callers seeking assistance
• Performing level of care mental health assessments
• Documenting in the electronic medical record
• Coordinating patient care with internal and external providers
• Maintaining department records/statistics
• Complete pre-certifications and utilization reviews as needed
• Participate in patient safety activities
• Other duties as assigned

Admissions Clinicianis responsible for conducting mental health assessments, communicating with psychiatrists in determining level of care needed, facilitating admissions and referrals to and from other agenciesand treatment centers,conducting pre-certifications and utilization reviews, and fostering positive relationships with all referral sources.The Clinician is required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills to assure accurate coordination of care.
