Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse – Psych for fulltime night shifts at the Aiken region, SC. Sign-on bonus offered. You will provide safe nursing care, lead the nursing team, and ensure patient-centered care across PHP services.

Required SC RN licensure with preferred three years in mental health; new grads accepted for 2026. Join a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality behavioral health services within a large hospital system.

• Accepting 2026 new RN graduates

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments.
• Performs group psychoeducation.
• Performs family psychoeducation.
• Performs individual psychoeducation.
• Develops nursing related programs as appropriate.
• Performs initial precertification and concurrent reviews on PHP patients
• Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients.
• Participates in the development of treatment plans.
• Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed.
• Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
• Charts every session.
• Participates in program development meetings.
• Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor.
• Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
• Compiles and maintains accurate patient charts
• Reviews charts for physician orders and assures orders are completed as necessary

The Registered Nurse provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
