Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking a PRN Assessment Coordinator to join the Admissions team on a 27-acre campus in Philadelphia.

You will interview and assess potential patients and inquiry callers, work with the Business Office on financial data, and support admission certification with the UR Department. The role emphasizes risk assessment, crisis intervention, and effective referral communication, offering opportunities for professional development and competitive compensation

Qualifications

• Prior intake, assessment and crisis intervention experience with psychiatric populations.
• Computer/data entry experience.
• Preferred knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment; understanding of insurance/managed care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Business Office on patient financial data.
• Coordinate with the Utilization Review Department for patient admission certification.

Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.

We are currently seeking a PRN Assessment Coordinator to join our team.

The PRN Assessment Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers. The Assessment Coordinator works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted. Also, initiates the referral process when indicated, and communicates with referral sources.

Qualifications

• MA/MSW in Counseling, Psychology, or Human Services
• Prior intake, assessment, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting
• Computer/data entry experience
• Preferred knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment
• insurance/managed care, psychiatric diagnosis symptomatology, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development and crisis behavior management
