Fairmount Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia seeks a PRN Intake Counselor to join our admissions team. The Intake Counselor interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers, working under the Director of Admissions to determine eligibility and placement.

You collaborate with the Business Office on patient financial data, partner with the UR Department for pre-authorization and certification, initiate referrals when indicated, and maintain clear communication with referral

Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health Systemis a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. We are currently seeking a PRN Intake Counselor to join our team. The Intake Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers. The Intake Counselor / Intake Clinician works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted. Also, initiates the referral process when indicated, and communicates with referral sources.
