Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking an Assembly Line Worker to produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies. The position requires reading a tape measure, using tools, and following blueprints and specifications.

Daily duties include assembling, measuring, maintaining quality, and documenting actions. Safe, efficient work and teamwork are emphasized, with overtime and some Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a measuring tape and ruler.
• Experience reading blueprints and parts lists.
• Proficient with hand and electric tools.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read a tape measure and ruler to ensure accurate measurements.
• Prepare work by studying instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts using templates and measurements.
• Assemble components and verify fit.
• Record production and quality data.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with procedures.
• Assist with inventory and supply management.

Description

Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.

Duties

1. Must be able to read a measuring tape and ruler.
2. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
3. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
4. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
5. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
6. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
7. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
8. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
9. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
10. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
11. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
12. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
