Job summary

Nesco Resource currently seeks a General Assembly / Machine Operator in Mentor, OH. You will work in a temperature-controlled environment on first or second shift, performing hand and machine production tasks to assemble or twist brushes, with a $500 sign-on bonus and a potential pay increase upon permanent hire.

The role is contract to hire, offering opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced production team.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple, repetitive hand and machine production tasks to safely and efficiently assemble or twist brushes made from various materials
• Cut and prepare fill material for use in brush assembly or twisting operations
• Spread and position fill material evenly between stem wires using guides or stops
• Twist and assemble brushes in varying order quantities and package them for shipment
• Obtain first-piece inspections and monitor work in process against quality standards
• Follow work instructions, safety protocols, and operating procedures for machine loading and adjustments
• Occasionally perform additional tasks such as attaching handles, ferrules, or couplings; threading stems; pulling springs; trimming ends; and shaping wire
• Record production data accurately and report any equipment issues, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisor

In this role, you'll be part of the manufacturing process, assembling and operating machinery to produce high-quality brushes used across various industries. Location: Mentor, OH

Shifts: 1st shift- 7:20 am - 3:50 pm, Monday- Friday - $16.25/hour
2nd shift- 4 pm - 12:30 am, Monday- Friday- $17.25/hour
