Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking a versatile Warehouse/General Labor role in Knoxville, TN. The position focuses on preparing and cleaning work sites, delivering equipment, and maintaining inventory and records to support production processes.

You will follow safety rules, operate power tools when needed, and contribute to general maintenance and material handling in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Lifting and manual handling may be required on site.
• Ability to read work orders and follow basic procedures.
• Experience with inventory management and stock control is preferred.
• Familiarity with power tools and basic maintenance tasks.
• Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous.
• Manufacturing or production environment exposure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work by checking the work schedule.
• Prepares work site by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.
• Maintains a clean and safe work site by removing scrap and keeping areas tidy.
• Maintains inventory by reading work orders and locating items in stock.
• Returns items to storage by loading and unloading.
• Supports work processes by inspecting, preparing, sorting, weighing, and loading materials.
• Maintains records by entering production statistics and materials used.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accepts new requests and seeks opportunities to add value to the role.

Supports operations by preparing and cleaning work sites; maintaining supplies and materials; performing steps in work processes; maintaining records.

Duties

1. Organizes work by checking work schedule.
2. Prepares work site by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.
3. Maintains clean and safe work site by removing scrap; sweeping and mopping area; erecting barriers; disposing of hazardous materials; following safety rules and procedures; wearing personal protective equipment.
4. Maintains work supplies and materials by reading work orders; locating and verifying items in inventory; loading items on trucks or pull-carts; moving items to site; unloading items.
5. Returns items to storage inventory by loading, moving, and unloading items.
6. Supports work processes by inspecting, preparing, sorting, weighing, measuring, cutting, adding, trimming, and loading materials.
7. Maintains work records by entering production statistics, and materials and supplies used;
8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
9. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
