Job summary

OSW Equipment & Repair is seeking an Assembly Technician III to safely assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on dump trucks and trailers. The role emphasizes strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and adherence to safety standards.

You will read schematics, follow manuals, and work in a team to complete complex installations, with emphasis on quality control and on-site assembly. Overtime may be available based on workload.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of mechanical experience with hydraulic systems.
• Comfortable with electrical trouble shooting.
• Wrenching experience required; power tools and pneumatic tools proficiency.
• Eager to learn, strong work ethic, and take responsibility; leadership desired.

Responsibilities

• Drill holes in steel frames and bolt on parts.
• Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses; wire/tube routing.
• Weld in flat and vertical positions; perform hitch/tipping welds.
• Install consoles, PTOs, pumps; troubleshoot installations.
• Plumb, set pressure, and verify checks on hydraulic systems.
• Quality checks on full truck operation; ensure safety standards.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician III to safely and efficiently assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on dump trucks and trailers. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform complex installations while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Job Summary

• Install Mechanics safely and efficiently troubleshoot and install mechanical items on dump trucks and trailers.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None

Duties/Responsibilities

• Drill holes in steel frames and bolt on parts
• Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses
• Zip tie wires and take accurate measurements
• Electric & Hydraulic connection / plumbing / trouble shooting
• Understanding of air systems & operations as well as troubleshooting
• Advanced Welder – Hitch, plows, tipping hinges, bodies weld down
• Console Installation
• PTO and Pump Installation and troubleshooting
• Large assembly installation such as tanks and saddles etc.
• Touch up paint
• Body electrical outfit
• Ability to fully plumb, install and set pressure settings and checks on Maxles
• Quality Control Assurance on full truck operation checks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
• Ability to learn and work in a team environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calculate differences in measurements.
• Ability to Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).

Education And Experience

• Highschool diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a mechanical field with hydraulic system repairs including pump valves, cylinders, etc.
• Must be comfortable with electrical trouble shooting.
• Must have wrenching experience.
• Must have wrenching experience.
• Must be comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinder, air tools etc.
• Must be eager to learn, have a good work ethic, and be able to accept responsibility for work performed.
• Leadership skills desired.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

Additional Job Information

• Wage Expectations: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour
• Pay: This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
• Typical Schedule: Four (4) Ten (10) hour days M-F, Overtime may be available on your 5th day of the week and/or Saturdays
• Location: On Site – 20812 Broadway Ave; Snohomish, WA 98296
• Travel: Very minimal to none
