Job summary

Qualitrol, a Fortive company, is seeking a Production Assembler for its Fairport, NY team. This role involves setting up and operating various assembly machines, rotating through cells, packaging finished goods, and keeping a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Proficient English reading and writing skills; able to read MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and to read measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assembly equipment such as small hydraulic presses, staking, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders.
• Rotate in other work cells as instructed by Supervisor or Cell Leader.
• Pack finished product for shipment.
• Maintain work area to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Actively participates in making and implementing cell improvements.
