Job summary

Qualitrol is seeking an assembly technician in Fairport, NY to set up and operate equipment including hydraulic presses, staking, drill presses, welding machines, and winders. You will rotate across cells as directed, pack finished products for shipment, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while contributing to continuous cell improvements.

The role requires 1+ year in assembly/lean manufacturing, strong dexterity, and ability to read MSDS and work instructions in English.

Qualifications

• Proficient English reading and writing; able to read MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
• Minimum 1 year experience in assembly or lean manufacturing environment.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment to read measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assembly equipment such as small hydraulic presses, staking, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders.
• Rotate in other work cells as instructed by Supervisor or Cell Leader.
• Pack finished product for shipment.
• Maintain work area to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Actively participate in making and implementing cell improvements.
