A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for anAssembly Technician. Position Type: Full Time Contract, Possible Contract to hire Duration: 12 months Location: State College, PA 16803

As an Assembly Technician, you will:

• Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.
• Follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on quality.
• Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts.
• Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches.
• Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels.
• Uses Microsoft Office programs.
• Maintains neat and clean work area.
• Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements.
• Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state of the art environment.
• Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks.
• Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Electrical background at the component level.
• Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the E3 continuous improvement process.
• J-STD-001, IPC-610.
• Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include Soldering.

Ideal candidate will have High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.
