Job summary

CQ Medical is seeking an assembler to join our production team in the fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment. You will assemble, inspect, and test parts and sub-assemblies, following blueprints and work orders using MAPICS and standard quality processes.

The role requires at least 2 years of assembly or manufacturing experience, strong reading and English fluency, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' assembly/manufacturing/maintenance experience.
• Must be computer literate.
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must read and speak English fluently to understand work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect assembly and assembled parts.
• Use drawings, tools, and other equipment to meet specification.
• Ability to handle large and small parts.
• Build and install mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Follow assembly drawings with minimal supervision.
• Use various tools and equipment.
• Process machines safely and with little direction.
• Accurately use measuring instruments.
• Interpret basic geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems during start-up.
• Continuously improve processes and procedures.

Job description

Primary duties involve assembly of parts and products. Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled and follow blueprints. Must possess a good knowledge of products and be able to assemble them with minimal supervision. Ability to use measuring devices to do quality checks on parts. Ability to do repair work. Understand the work order system (routers) and how to complete them on MAPICS and perform the assigned work. Ability to understand and follow the quality system and locate the documentation in the computer. Knowledge of the RMA system and ability to access it on the computer.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Visually inspect assembly and assembled parts.
• Use drawings, tools, and other equipment to meet specification.
• Ability to handle large and small parts.
• Effectively build and install a wide range of miscellaneous mechanical assemblies, mechanical components, and/or sub-assemblies.
• With minimal supervision, follow assembly drawings, blueprints and supportive documentation.
• Ability to use various tools and equipment.
• Process machines safely and with little direction.
• Must be able to accurately use measuring instruments.
• Knowledge and ability to interpret basic geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• With minimal support, troubleshoot mechanical problems during start-up.
• Continuously work to improve process and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Other Useful Skills and Abilities

• With minimal direction, communicate appropriately with departments such as outside vendors, truck drivers, Engineering, Quality, Shipping, Labeling, and other internal customers.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Occasionally this position is required to convert one unit of measure to another through basic math skills.
• Able to demonstrate basic computer skills using programs such as Word and Excel.
