Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an assembler to accurately assemble components per customer work orders, blueprints, and process instructions. The role requires reading drawings, using hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet tolerances.

You will operate grinders, drills, jitter bugs, electro etchers, and pumps; perform material handling with forklifts and overhead cranes; and maintain clean, safe work area while logging data in IDC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year trade school/vocational education or apprenticeship preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Safe operation of hand tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, sketches, and specs to determine dimensions.
• Use torque wrenches and follow torque sequences.
• Operate hand tools and shop equipment (grinders, drills, etc.).
• Install thread inserts and fasteners.
• Operate electro etchers, hydro test pumps, vacuum pumps.
• Perform material handling with forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Enter data into IDC for labor reporting.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area.

This role requires individual to have a demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments.Position Title:Position Summary:Position is responsible for the assembly of components as specified by customer work orders, engineering process routers, blueprints and any applicable code or specification.Reports to:Assembly and Finishing Team LeaderPersonnel:Not applicable.Accountabilities:Assemblers are responsible for producing conforming components that meet all blueprint dimensions within the said tolerances; any moving parts must operate correctly. Cleanliness and preservation of internal components must be maintained along with the final appearance of the component. All SOP’s and WI’s must be followed and a safe, clean and organized work area must be maintained.Authorities:Not ApplicableDuties:Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished component.Use torque wrenches and understands torque methods and sequencing.Use precision measuring instruments.Operate hand tools and other shop equipment such as grinders, jitter bugs, drills, etc.Install thread inserts, keenserts and fasteners.Operate and trouble shoot equipment such as electro etchers, hydro test pumps, vacuum pumps, etc.Perform material handling functions using fork trucks, overhead cranes, etc.Enter correct data into data collection system (IDC) and ensure accurate labor reporting.Understand and properly operate the “Available Documents” program.Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of equipment and work area on a daily basis.Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.Job Qualification Requirements:Educational Experience– A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
