Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Escalates unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor immediately.
• Performs mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assemblies using hand tools and pneumatic tooling.
• Reads and interprets schematics and drawings and communicates with Engineers as necessary.
• Checks inventory of assigned task and area daily and reports potential parts shortages to Lead or supervisor.
• Abides by methods and procedures directed by management.
• Assists with maintenance on company equipment.
• May perform welding, machining, finishing, etc. as required within capabilities.
• Executes safety and facility improvement projects.
• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.

Job description

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Escalate all unsafe conditions so they can be promptly addressed.

Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisorimmediately.

Accurately followswork assignments as required by highly variable daily duties:

Mechanical,hydraulicand electricalassembly.

Safetyand qualityaudits.

Performsmultipleprocesses to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies, using hand tools and power pneumatic tooling.

Readsand interpretsschematics and drawings, communicating with Engineers as necessary

Checksinventory of assignedtaskand area daily. Reportspotential parts shortages to prevent stock outages to Lead personal or supervisor.

Abidesby the methods and procedures inherent in position as directed by management.

Assistswith maintenance on company equipment when necessary.

May perform occasional welding, machining, finishing, etc. asrequired,in so far asexisting personal capabilities allow.

Executessafety and facility improvement projects.

Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.

Physical Requirements:

1)Work overtime beyond40 hours/week dependent on varying Business needs.

2)Stand and walk on a concrete surface for extended periods (approx. 3 hours/each) throughout a standard work shift.

3) Repetitive motions specifically for hands and fingers requiring good dexterity

4) Long periods of sitting, reach overhead as well as bend, crouch and kneel to floor level to access parts and components.

5) Occasionally Ascend and descend work platform stairs at varying heights, work in awkward positions and on mechanics creeper at floor level
