Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions in Hudson, WI, is hiring Assembly Technicians for a manufacturing company. You will read blueprints, assemble components, and ensure finished sections meet quality standards.

This temp-to-hire role on 1st shift (Mon–Thu, 5am–3:30pm) offers weekly pay and reliable hours. You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, use hand tools, and read floor plans and assembly instructions. teamwork and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous heavy assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic math skills, including working with fractions.
• Ability to accurately use and interpret a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work productively with others.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds semi-frequently with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and assembly instructions to complete product assemblies.
• Measure and position components within subassemblies using precise measurements.
• Use hand tools to drill holes and perform product modifications.
• Assemble walk-in sections, including components such as wood pieces, locks, cut-outs, ramps, and related parts.
• Clean excess foam and foreign materials from completed sections, rails, and pallets.
• Apply required information labels, including serial numbers and compliance stickers.
• Inspect components for defects and report issues to a supervisor.
