Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is seeking an Assembler for a leading manufacturing company in Mahtomedi, MN. You will perform assembly operations, read process sheets, operate bench-top equipment, and clock into jobs using a computer.

This is a fast-paced role with weekly pay for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm-12:00am). Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and basic math skills, with the ability to read a ruler and follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately assemble parts using prints, process sheets, or specifications.
• Basic mathematical operations, including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret a ruler.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers.
• Ability to use computers and software programs such as an ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly operations such as wire stripping, tinning, plugging, twisting, hand crimping, and packaging.
• Read, understand, and follow process sheet as provided.
• Operate bench-top equipment.
• Properly clock into jobs/operations using a computer.
• Rotate between assembly areas as directed by manager or lead.
• Inspect assemblies for proper form and function per print and process sheet.
• Identify and report quality issues.

What You’ll Do as an Assembler:
