Job summary

WeldFit is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform final assembly of the performance product line. The role requires reading blueprints and following instructions to assemble components accurately. You will assist machinists and welders and ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior related experience. English communication is essential; Spanish is a plus. The position is on-site in Houston, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Assembles mechanical parts following required specifications.
• Reads blueprints, diagrams, and drawings to assemble equipment.
• Understands valves, flanged, and bolting concepts.
• Supports machinists, welders and other operators as needed.
• Maintains workspace and tools in clean condition.

Job Summary / Responsibilities

At WeldFit, the position of Assembly Technician is responsible for final Assembly of performance product line and performing the duties and responsibilities below.

Qualifications

• Assembles mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in our performance product line
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
• Have a general understanding of Valves, Flanged, and Bolting
• Responsible for helping machinists, welders and other operators as per customers order
• Responsible for overall cleanliness and maintenance of the building by performing the following duties
• Obtains various materials for jobs from stock area.
• Clean tools at end of each shift.

Responsibility

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend and climb
• Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
