Job summary

Qualifications

  • 2 yearsPLC programming/troubleshooting experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuits and industrial controls.
  • 2 year technical degree or trade school completion or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (including international).
  • Ability to work up to 30% overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

  • Review equipment specifications and design; identify improvements; conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functions.
  • Install equipment; verify safety, quality, and productivity of equipment.
  • Investigate to determine modification requirements; implement modifications; trial and adjust.
  • Lower cost and decrease project time by confirming safety, quality, and productivity at vendor prior to installation; minimize adjustment time during vehicle trials by performing quality trials at vendor.
  • Oversee installation by vendor and facilitate kanban process to reduce costs and time.
  • Improve equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments identified during online vehicle trials.
  • Confirm quality results by secondary methods (torque checks, vacuum profiles, etc.).
  • Install, setup and troubleshoot Toyopuc and Allen-Bradley program controllers.
  • Provide training to Maintenance members on newly implemented equipment.
  • Share SME knowledge with local NAMC Maintenance and Production Members.
  • Travel up to 50% at times.

Job description

Requirements:

What you bring

  • Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting ( Toyopuc, Seimens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley)- 2 years
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PLC’s - 2 years
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical circuits and Industrial controls- 2 years
  • 2 year technical degree or completion of trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
  • Ability to travel up to 50% at times. (Including International travel)
  • Ability to work up to 30% overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs on occasion
  • Ability to frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching on varying surfaces.
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed repairs.
  • Ability to work in various environments including hot, cold, or confined spaces
  • Stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work long shifts.

What you may bring

  • 2+ years Industrial maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of Industrial Robot programming and teaching
  • Knowledge of AGVs/AMRs programming and set up
  • Knowledge of safety scanners and programming.
  • Knowledge of various industrial controls networking, EthernetIP, FLNet, ProfiNet ect.
