We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician I to join our manufacturing team. The Assembly Technician I is responsible for assembling components and products according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, are mechanically inclined, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Assemble products, components, and subassemblies according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to perform assembly operations.
Inspect components and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Identify and report defects, discrepancies, or equipment issues.
Read and interpret basic blueprints, work orders, and assembly instructions.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
Assist with inventory counts, material handling, and production support activities as needed.
Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to read and follow written instructions.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Frequent use of hands and fingers for assembly tasks.
Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving equipment.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
