Job summary

The Toro Company in Minnesota is hiring a 1st Shift Assembly Supervisor. The role leads operations staff, oversees safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting, and reports to site leadership.

Key duties include assigning daily work, monitoring production, solving process issues, and driving performance with clear communication. Requires at least a high school diploma, 2 years in manufacturing, supervisory experience, and familiarity with SAP, Kronos, and Workday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in operations/manufacturing.
• Experience in supervisory or team lead role is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse team.
• Proficient with SAP, Kronos, Workday; MS Office preferred.
• LEAN or continuous improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily work assignments and schedules to meet productivity and business results.
• Monitor production activity, identify issues, troubleshoot, and develop solutions.
• Collaborate with site leadership and other supervisors to align processes.
• Ensure adherence to standards, procedures, policies, safety, and regulations.
• Prioritize safety and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Communicate expectations and progress to the team and align with quality standards.
• Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives with the team.
• Foster trust, integrity, and clear communication within the team.
• Engage team development and collaboration toward goals; own team performance.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
