Job summary

RESRG Automotive is seeking an Assembly Supervisor in Newbern, Tennessee to lead day-to-day assembly operations and drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will coach Team Leaders and Operators, coordinate staffing, and partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and sustain a productive work environment.

The role emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and strong communication to meet production goals and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with production reporting systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Production Operators to achieve objectives.
• Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable for safety, quality, attendance, performance, and conduct.
• Coordinate staffing and work assignments to meet daily production schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor production performance and respond to downtime, quality concerns, and staffing issues.
• Ensure adherence to standard work, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate goals and issues to employees.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to address equipment issues and improvements.
• Work with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Materials and Production Control to ensure availability of components.
• Monitor labor utilization, production output, scrap, and downtime.
• Promote continuous improvement and employee involvement.
• Provide training and cross-training to build a capable workforce.
