Job summary

RESRG Automotive is hiring for an Assembly Production Operator in Morehead, KY. The role focuses on performing assembly tasks, inspecting parts, and maintaining quality and production flow.

You will follow standard work instructions, use hand tools and equipment, and participate in safety and continuous improvement activities. This position emphasizes teamwork, attendance, and adherence to safety policies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly operations safely, accurately, and efficiently to meet production standards and customer requirements.
  • Follow standard work instructions, visual aids, quality alerts, and supervisor direction.
  • Load, position, align, fasten, clip, bond, inspect, pack, label or handle parts per workstation.
  • Operate hand tools, torque tools, fixtures, gauges, scanners, presses according to safety requirements.
  • Inspect incoming parts, in-process work, and completed assemblies for defects or cosmetic issues.
  • Separate, tag, report, and contain non-conforming material per RESRG procedures.
  • Complete required production paperwork, quality checks, labels, counts, scrap records and rework information accurately.
  • Monitor materials, tools, containers, and supplies; notify when replenishment is needed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for common assembly issues and escalate issues promptly.
  • Maintain proper part identification, traceability and packaging to prevent mix-ups.
  • Rotate through workstations and learn additional tasks as needed.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized following 5S and safety expectations.
  • Participate in safety huddles, shift meetings, and continuous improvement discussions.
  • Communicate with team members, material handlers, quality technicians, maintenance, leads and supervisors to support production flow.
  • Follow RESRG Automotive safety policies, PPE requirements, attendance expectations, and quality standards.

RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as an Assembly Production Operator in our Morehead, KY Location!

What you Will do in Your Role
  • Perform assigned assembly operations safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting production standards and customer requirements.
  • Follow standardized work instructions, visual aids, job breakdown sheets, quality alerts, control plans, and supervisor direction.
  • Load, position, align, fasten, clip, bond, inspect, pack, label, or handle parts and components as required by the assigned workstation.
  • Operate hand tools, torque tools, fixtures, gauges, scanners, presses, or other production equipment according to training and safety requirements.
  • Inspect incoming parts, in-process work, and completed assemblies for defects, damage, missing components, cosmetic issues, or other quality concerns.
  • Separate, tag, report, and contain non-conforming material according to RESRG Automotive procedures.
  • Complete required production paperwork, quality checks, labels, part counts, scrap records, rework information, or electronic transactions accurately and on time.
  • Monitor workstation materials, tools, containers, packaging, and supplies; notify the Team Lead or Supervisor when replenishment or support is needed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for common assembly issues and elevate equipment, tooling, safety, or quality concerns promptly.
  • Maintain proper part identification, traceability, labeling, sequencing, and packaging to prevent mixed or incorrect parts.
  • Rotate through assigned workstations and learn additional assembly tasks as business needs require.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized by following 5S, housekeeping, waste disposal, and safety expectations.
  • Participate in safety huddles, shift meetings, training, continuous improvement activities, and problem-solving discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, material handlers, quality technicians, maintenance, Team Leads, and Supervisors to support production flow.
  • Follow all RESRG Automotive safety policies, PPE requirements, attendance expectations, quality standards, and company rules.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, safety rules, quality standards, and production procedures.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to complete simple production or quality documentation accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, quality concerns, or process issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with team members, leads, and supervisors.
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, or schedule changes based on production needs.
