RESRG Automotive in Morehead, KY is seeking a Robotics Technician on 2nd shift (2:30 PM–10:30 PM) to support the Molding Department by maintaining robots, programming, and EOAT construction to ensure quality parts.

You will troubleshoot robots, modify programs, adhere to safety standards, assist other technicians, and handle maintenance records using Maintenance Connection and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Robotic programming experience, preferably Fanuc.
  • Experience with PLC logic and controls.
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic and blueprint drawings.
  • Troubleshooting pneumatics and electrical circuits.
  • Proficient with hand tools and basic machining knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, email.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and regulations.
  • Capable of reporting and presenting information to managers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on robots.
  • Create and modify robot programs and EOAT tooling.
  • Stay compliant with safety requirements including lockout/tagout and 6S.
  • Assist other robot technicians on projects.
  • Keep preventive maintenance actions up to date.
  • Work weekends with limited notice.
  • Use data entry systems and MS Office tools.
  • Report environmental concerns and incidents to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Robotics Technician in our Morehead, KY location! This role would be on 2nd shift with the hours of 2:30 PM- 10:30 PM.

Your Job

The Molding Robotics Technician is responsible for supporting the Molding Department by managing preventive maintenance on robots, programming, and end-of-arm tooling construction to ensure quality parts.

What you Will do in Your Role
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on robots.
  • Answer maintenance calls from Technicians.
  • Create and modify robot programs.
  • Stay in compliance with all safety requirements, including safety awareness, lockout/tagout, and 6S.
  • Assist other robot technicians on projects.
  • Build and maintain end-of-arm tooling (EOAT).
  • Keep all preventative maintenance actions up to date.
  • Work weekends with limited prior notice.
  • Use data entry systems, Microsoft Word, and Maintenance Connection.
  • Follow all environmental policies, procedures, work instructions, and requirements applicable to the work, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Immediately report to management all environmental concerns related to work being carried out, as well as all incidents that present a hazard to people, production, or the environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Robotic programming experience, preferably Fanuc.
  • Some experience in PLC logic and controls.
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and blueprint drawings.
  • Troubleshooting experience with pneumatics and electrical circuits.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Machining experience using a milling machine and lathe preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform end-of-arm tool, robot, and degater preventative maintenance.
  • General knowledge of computers, email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Preferred ability to calculate figures and amounts such as concentrations, percentage, area, circumference, and volume, and apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
