Job summary

Becton Dickinson in Columbus, Nebraska is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Operator to act as an informal leader for the line and to set up machines per procedures to ensure output meets quality specifications.

You will repair, adjust and troubleshoot machinery, work with technical support to resolve issues, monitor process parameters, perform quality inspections, and manage changeovers while maintaining data records and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Informal leader for the line and ability to communicate with shift associates.

Responsibilities

• Informal leader for the respective line.
• Set-up machines per established procedures to manufacture product meeting quality specs.
• Repair, adjust and troubleshoot machinery including disassembly and reassembly of components.
• Work with technical support to resolve machine issues.
• Monitor process parameters and take appropriate actions to ensure product quality.
• Perform quality inspections and record inspection data.
• Perform all product changeovers and module changeovers (including camera vision systems).
• Maintain equipment according to preventative maintenance schedule.
• Assign associates to alternate tasks and instruct on proper methods.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the process.
• Other duties as required to support the business.
