c3controls seeks an Assembler to perform assembly of electrical components following SOPs, Bills of Materials, and engineering instructions. The role emphasizes inspecting assemblies for quality and meeting production rates, with close coordination with management to resolve issues.

  • Label and package components and assemblies so inventory can be tracked and identified.
  • Confer with supervisors to plan and review work activities and to resolve production/assembly problems.

Job description

The Assembler will be responsible for performing assembly of electrical components in accordance with product quality and assembly rate requirements. The Assembler will also work to Standard Operating Procedures, Bill of Materials, manufacturing information and instruction from Management or Engineers to established processes and procedures. Responsible for inspecting completed assemblies to ensure compliance with c3controls Quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.

  • Read diagrams, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Assemble components using sum-assemblies (e.g. screws, springs, plastic parts, gaskets, lamps) by following Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Use various power hand tools (e.g. screwdriver, wrenches, degaters, etc. ) and soldering tool to assemble and adjust product.
  • Conduct visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
  • Test devices for proper operation and record results.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace sub-components to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Label and package components and assemblies so inventory can be tracked and identified.
  • Confer with supervisors to plan and review work activities and to resolve production/assembly problems.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Technical Studies in Electronics, Mechanics or Equivalent.
  • Strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6-months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 6-months experience in electrical mechanical assemblies of electrical components.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow assembly and order fulfillment instructions.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools (e.g. screwdriver, wrenches, degaters...etc.)
  • Ability to build electrical mechanical assemblies to requirements at the identified rates.
  • Experience with fastening processes (ex. driving screws, riveting)
  • Experience with soldering tools.
  • Attention to detail and quality (inspecting and testing).
  • Ability to work in a team environment; self-motivated.
  • Ability to assemble to a defined rate and complete work orders to meet deadlines.
  • This job operates in a light manufacturing environment setting and uses electric screwdrivers, riveting tools, and soldering irons.
Language and Communication Skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow detail communications (i.e. Bills of Material), and common documents.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or issues from management.
  • Ability to talk with others to convey information effectively.
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

The assembly of electrical components is largely a sedentary role and requires manual dexterity in hands and wrist and a steady hand. The position also requires the ability to:

  • Quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or package objects.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • See close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, kneeling, lifting, balancing, walking, stopping, and handling of materials throughout an 8-hour shift.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work

This position will be full-time, Monday through Friday.
Working 44-hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
