This position is an hourly, non-exempt position and reports to theAssembly & Fulfillment Supervisor.Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and specifications.Tear down and clean customer RMA’s.Use the parts list and retrieve all the parts needed to assemble the order.Depending on the size and weight of the item to be assembled, use a proper lifting method.Continually inspect products and processes throughout assembly.Inspect and test the final assembly to ensure it meets specifications.Cross-train with other assembler team members.Adhere to specific procedures and production schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Core Values:Trustworthiness- We earn trust through honesty, integrity, and reliability.Adaptable- We are able to maintain effectiveness in a changing environment.Approachable- We are open-minded, friendly, engaging, understanding, and empathetic, being comfortable engaging in challenging conversations.Curious- We improve the organization by seeking information and knowledge to continually grow and learn, and reduce moments of uncertainty and ambiguity.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent certification.Minimum of 3 years of mechanical assembly experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong mechanical aptitude.Team player mentality.Basic crane and forklift experience.Own basic tools.Assembly blueprint reading skills.Capable of understanding and following written and verbal work instructions.Understanding of BOM’s (bills of materials).Capable of understanding and following routing information.Basic knowledge of inventory systems.Basic knowledge of products.Basic record keeping abilities.Ability to communicate with and work closely with others, including scheduling, quality, and production control.Minimal troubleshooting capabilities.Ability to inspect work and meet quality expectations.Ability to identify and share process improvement ideas, a lean thinker.Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Time TypeFull timeJoyce/Dayton Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
