Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking an Assembly I/II/III professional to manufacture products according to specifications, review material readiness, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. The role emphasizes using instructions and equipment to assemble efficiently while maintaining clean work practices.

Shift hours are 5:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday, with overtime on Fridays as needed. Pay rate starts at $18.10/hour, with PPE provided and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Assembler II requires 1 year of complex assembly or related experience.
  • Assembler III requires 2 years of complex assembly or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Uses work instructions, drawings, schematics and electronic assembly equipment to perform assembly following safety and quality standards.
  • Cross trains in multiple assembly areas and can flex to other departments as needed.
  • Develops and maintains understanding of products and their impact on the business.
  • Continuously learns principles and processes as changes occur.
  • Participates in team meetings to share information and align on tasks.
  • Resolves problems with assistance from peers or supervisors.
  • Provides basic training to employees on work instructions when required.

The Assembler I will validate material prior to beginning assembly, review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE.Responsibilities:Uses work instructions drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment to perform assembly while complying with safe and effective operation standards of all equipment and tools.Cross trains in multiple assembly areas and flex to other similar departments based on business needs.Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs.Participate in team meetings to exchange job related information.Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity.Provide basic training to employees on work instructions/standard work as needed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:ASSEMBLY I:Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.ASSEMBLY II:High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year of complex assembly or related experienceInternal: Demonstrated Assembler II competencyASSEMBLY III:High school diploma or equivalent2 years of complex assembly or related experienceInternal: Demonstrated Assembler III competency & High school diploma or equivalentPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
