Job summary

nVent is seeking entry level and skilled Assembly Operators on 3rd shift to perform assembly, packaging, and paint preparation duties. Starting hourly pay is up to $20.75+ with overtime opportunities.

You will work individually or with a team to assemble products, following Work Instructions and safety standards. The role involves handling production materials, maintaining equipment, and recording manufacturing data while adhering to 5S and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints or work instructions preferred.
• Experience assembling mechanical parts into finished products preferred.
• Experience using hand and/or power tools preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package products per Work Instructions.
• Complete work based on drawings, routings, and specifications.
• Move production materials as required.
• Maintain equipment and materials needed for the operation.
• Meet safety, quality and performance standards to support production schedules.
• Record accurate information on Manufacturing Order and related inventory records.
• Follow safety procedures, quality specs and 5S standards; report issues per escalation procedure.
• Adhere to 5S daily; keep work area clean and organized.
• Escalate problems related to safety, quality, equipment, or materials to team leader.
• Demonstrate flexibility with rotational assignments and participate in continuous improvement.

nVent is looking for entry level and skilled Assembly Operators on 3rd shift to join our team. In this role you will perform a variety of duties involved in assembly, packaging, and paint preparation.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Work individually or as part of a team to assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component of a product according to Work Instructions.
• Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
• Selects and moves production materials as required.
• Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
• Meets established safety, quality, and performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
• Records accurate information on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
• Complies with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards. Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to department leader in accordance to escalation procedure.
• Adheres to department 5S standards daily. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• In accordance with escalation procedure, notify team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
• Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

YOU HAVE:

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Knowledge in use of scales, preferred
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferred
• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints, preferred
• Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product, preferred
• Experience in using hand and power tools, preferred
• Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
