Job summary

AptarGroup, Inc. in McHenry, IL seeks a Mechanic for day shift to maintain electrical and electro-mechanical production machinery, ensuring they run within specifications.

You'll repair, setup, troubleshoot, read gauges, and perform safety checks while recording data in SAP and supporting lockout procedures; a HS/GED and technical certification with ability to lift 50 lb are required.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Must be able to work as a member of a team, have high energy level and be able to work well under pressure.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate quality and production issues.
• Must obtain Associate's degree or Technical Certification within reasonable time from a technical program.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Repairs, performs maintenance, sets up and troubleshoots production machinery independently.
• Reads inspection gauges.
• Performs record-keeping duties in SAP.
• Communicates engineering issues and creates work requests.
• Monitors multiple high-speed assembly machines and acts as a back-up to Operator.
• Performs/meets the requirements of BRC/GMP/ISO in all activities.
