Job summary

Jabil, NYSE: JBL, is seeking a Production Supervisor to organize line workload and staffing for assembly operations based on product priority. This role collaborates with the Assembly Line Supervisor to ensure efficient, safe production and alignment with customer schedules.

You will monitor quality and CIQ, minimize changeover times, maintain proper documentation, train line staff, and drive continuous improvement while meeting deadlines and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Ability to present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a PC including Windows-based software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read visual aids.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret numerical information.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to read graphs and interpret data representations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Assembly Line Supervisor to organize line workload and staffing based on product priority.
• Ensures work meets workmanship standards and monitors CIQ to fix problems promptly.
• Minimizes changeover times through organized and planned changeovers.
• Manages floor material, ensures proper stockage, and availability of supplies and equipment.
• Verifies that current, accurate documentation is available on the line.
• Informs employees of any deviations or changes.
• Supports continuous improvement across responsibilities.
• Ensures line personnel are trained and certified for their roles.
• Motivates and provides feedback to line members to maximize performance.
• Tracks production and ensures deadlines and schedules are met.
