Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking an Assembly Lead to direct Assemblers in mechanical and/or electrical groups, ensuring timely, high-quality and safe production. You will resolve escalations, train staff, interpret drawings, and maintain continuous improvement in the cell output.

The role requires 3–5 years in assembly of industrial machines, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work with limited supervision. A safety-focused mindset and Lean manufacturing knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Level IV Assembler in MT or 3–5 years minimum assembly experience on industrial machines.
• Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and BOM.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as first responder or SME to resolve tier 1 escalations in assembly cells.
• Troubleshoot any unit in the Value Stream (VS).
• Provide knowledge, motivation, support and advice on cell issues.
• Assemble systems as designed.
• Update resource planner and crating report.
• Enter QN tags and monitor RTS process.
• Understand SAP, COOIS/DCP systems.
• Maintain safe work environment and promote good relationships with stakeholders.
• Drive production and keep assemblers focused; ensure high quality.
• Conduct hands-on training for Assemblers; document hours and disturbances.
• Support 5S and perform audits; participate in startup meetups and Gemba walks.
