Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembly Lead to supervise a skilled assembly team in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will lead daily production operations, train team members, and solve on-floor problems while maintaining schedules.

You’ll read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement with safety and quality at the forefront. The role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and BOMs.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Effective leadership and communication.
• Ability to manage production operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Daily production leadership — Oversee workflow, staffing, and schedule adherence.
• Team training — Coach and develop assembly team members to improve skill and performance.
• Safety & quality oversight — Maintain a safe, organized, and high-quality work environment.
• Blueprint & schematic reading — Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Troubleshooting — Identify issues, recommend solutions, and keep production moving.
• Continuous improvement — Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Recordkeeping — Maintain accurate production and inventory documentation.
