Job summary

Laitram Machine Shop, L.L.C. is seeking an Assembly Finisher to support machining of diverse materials and produce parts meeting quality standards per the company’s Quality Management System.

The role emphasizes deburring, assembly support, and participation in process improvements to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Production experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Teamwork and collaboration are important in this role.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Ability to work under deadlines and maintain quality.
• Willingness to perform varied tasks to meet department goals.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deburr and clean parts per safety and customer requirements.
• Assist/complete assembly per drawings and requirements.
• Modify molded sprockets using dedicated equipment as needed.
• Meet or exceed production time standards while ensuring quality.
• Maintain flexible schedule to meet customer demand.
• Adhere to attendance policies for the department.
• Follow safety procedures and policies at all times.
• Complete transactions in Kronos/Oracle without errors.
• Suggest routing updates with work instructions and standards.
• Support other shop areas per customer demand.

This individual will beinvolved with the machining of a variety of materials to produce parts that meet dimensional and workmanship standards per Laitram Machine Shop's Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Deburr and clean parts as needed for safety and/or customer technical requirements
• Assist/complete assembly in accordance to customer and drawing requirements
• Assist in modification of molded sprockets using dedicated equipment
• Meets or exceed production time standards while exceeding customer expectations
• Work a flexible schedule as needed to meet customer demand
• Follow the attendance policy outlined for department
• Follow all safety procedures and policies
• Complete error free transaction in Kronos/Oracle
• Recommend/complete routing updates with work instructions and production standards
• Assist in various area’s in the shop as customer demand requires

Requirements

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
• Stable work experience in a production environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
• Possess a strong attention to detail
• Able to work under the pressure of deadlines
• Must be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of short and long-term department goals
• Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift and move 50 lbs
