Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I - Assembly to advance state-of-the-art assembly processes and semi-automated equipment with built-in mistake-proofing for the Quick Coupling Division in a manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team and production staff to improve up-time, reduce costs, and introduce innovative automation solutions across assembly cells.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Automation, programming, and machine design.
  • PLC/SCADA/HMI programming with ability to learn other languages.
  • 2+ years of experience with 2D and 3D CAD for fixture design, modifications, and schematics.
  • Installation, modifications and troubleshooting of new and current automated systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment: 480/230 3ph, 110 & 24vdc controls, prints and schematics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • 3+ years with Error or Mistake Proofing to build quality into machine designs.

Responsibilities

  • Improve process reliability to increase up-time and reduce cost.
  • Develop control systems interface, maintenance, and training approaches and documentation including diagrams, schematics, and interface control documents.
  • Furnish all controls-related hardware and peripherals.
  • Design, program and troubleshoot PLC and industrial control systems, including panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
  • Lead project management and process development for new Assembly Cell designs or changes.
  • Investigate proposals to improve equipment performance and support standardization and quality control.
  • Apply automation skills with electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, circuitry, control systems, and machinery.
  • Develop work instructions and setup standards.
  • Take on additional related responsibilities as required.
