Job summary

Hydro-Gear is seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to design, build, program, and support automated assembly systems in Princeton, KY. You will enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability while partnering with maintenance, quality, and production teams.

The role emphasizes process improvement, tooling design, and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment, with opportunities to lead automation projects and drive continuous improvement across assembly operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing or assembly operations.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support automated assembly systems and tooling.
• Toubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and production machinery.
• Develop and maintain process docs, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Analyze data to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and eliminate waste.
• Support new product launches and equipment installations in assembly.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production to resolve issues.
• Manage equipment modifications, upgrades, and validation activities.
• Assist root cause analysis and corrective actions for assembly concerns.
• Support projects related to assembly automation and process improvements.
