Job summary
Hydro-Gear is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, test, and implement electronic and electro-mechanical assembly systems in Indianapolis, IN. You will drive process improvements, create documentation, and support automation and controls initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
The role requires a 4+ year background in manufacturing engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement electronic and electro-mechanical assembly systems.
- Create technical documentation, process flowcharts, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
- Conduct assembly time studies and support process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with PLC programming, controls, and automation projects.
- Perform DFM and PFMEA analyses to improve product quality and manufacturability.
- Support project management activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
