Job summary

Hydro-Gear is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and implementation of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly systems at our Indianapolis facility. The role drives process improvements, creates technical documentation, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.

You will analyze assembly processes, conduct time studies, support PLC programming and controls projects, and perform DFM/PFMEA

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Minimum 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience with electronic and electro-mechanical assembly systems.
Knowledge of PLCs, controllers, communications, and other controls technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and implement electronic and electro-mechanical assembly systems.
Create technical documentation, process flowcharts, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
Conduct assembly time studies and support process improvement initiatives.
Assist with PLC programming, controls, and automation projects.
Perform DFM and PFMEA analyses to improve product quality and manufacturability.
Support project management activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
