Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an Assembler – Soldering III for our Chatsworth, CA site.

The role focuses on assembling, soldering, inspecting, testing, and repairing complex aerospace mechanical and electro-mechanical products per drawings, instructions, and quality standards. It also serves as a senior technical resource, mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement with Engineering and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training in electronics, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Ability to perform with minimal supervision and directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision mechanical assembly and hand soldering of complex aerospace assemblies, subassemblies, wiring, connectors, and electronic components in accordance with engineering drawings, IPC workmanship standards, and customer specifications.
• Assemble, install, align, inspect, and verify mechanical and electro-mechanical components using hand tools, torque equipment, measuring devices, and soldering equipment.
• Conduct in-process inspections, functional verification, basic testing, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues while supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, inspection, and test documentation and ensure compliance with procedures and aerospace quality standards.

With over 1,400 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.Our team is looking for a Assembler –Soldering III at our Chatsworth, CA office.The Assembler- Soldering III is responsible for assembling, soldering, inspecting, testing, and repairing complex aerospace mechanical and electro-mechanical products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
