Job Description

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Responsibilities
  1. Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment
  2. Perform self-inspection of your completed work
  3. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings
  4. Order parts when needed
  5. Scribe or mark identifying information on parts and assemblies
  6. Utilize fixturing to accurately build assemblies
  7. Inspect parts and materials for flaws and imperfections prior to use
  8. Use calipers and micrometers to measure parts and determine tolerances
  9. Manually solder or epoxy electrical components
  10. Use Solder Reflow Ovens, semi-auto P&P machines, and automated measurement systems
  11. Work with engineers to build newly designed parts and assemblies
  12. Analyze and initiate assembly methods according to process requirements
  13. Make frequent interdepartmental contacts to resolve problems
  14. Demonstrate intermediate computer skills
  15. Learn and use multiple Manufacturing Execution Systems (Paperless, Solumina, Promis)
  16. Employ Microsoft Excel and Word to enter, manipulate, and format text and numerical data; create and save worksheets
  17. Maintain appropriate training as required by the company, and adhere to company policies
  18. Ensure production accuracy and quality
  19. Work in a Clean Room environment
  20. Assemble, disassemble, and modify various production subassemblies by following work plans and inspecting results for conformance
  21. Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy
  22. Work independently and as part of a team
  23. Communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  24. Utilize basic computer skills, including software for MRP and data collection
  25. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of work experience or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings
  • Ability to become solder certified
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong work ethic and desire to be part of a successful team
  • Passion for learning and acquiring knowledge
