Job description

A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as an Electromechanical Assembler III in Billerica, you will support the manufacturing of high-quality and complex Capital Equipment Systems for the Cardiac Ablation Solutions Business. You will lead improvements in manufacturing quality, capacity, and stability through problem-solving, developing solutions, and executing strategies. In addition to contributing to the Medtronic mission, you'll also be investing in your career!

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 2pm - 10:30pm

Compensation: $24/hour + $1.50 differential

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  1. Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.
  2. Work from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and written or verbal assembly instructions.
  3. Set initial layouts and use a variety of tools to prepare products.
  4. Make continuity checks on work in process and completed products.
  5. Conduct quality inspections on processing lines in accordance with quality specifications.
  6. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Broad knowledge of operational systems and practices, typically gained through prior work experience and/or education.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Experience with fine wire soldering.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a medical device setting.
  • Prior assembly work with complex capital equipment systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and medical device quality standards.

Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding PR): $45,200 - $67,800. The starting pay rate is $24/hour, applicable across the U.S. except Puerto Rico and certain California locations. Benefits and compensation details are specific to U.S. hires.
