JOB TITLE: Upfit Assembler IIDEPARTMENT: ProductionREPORTS TO: General ManagerCLASSIFICATION: Non-ExemptPosition SummaryThe Upfit Assembler II is responsible for installing, modifying, and assembling equipment components according to customer specifications, engineering drawings, and company quality standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions in a production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and assemble upfit components, including but not limited to crane bodies, lighting, wiring, and specialty accessoriesRead and interpret work orders, schematics, drawings, and installation instructionsPerform mechanical, electrical, and basic fabrication tasks as requiredUse hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectivelyEnsure installations meet quality, safety, and customer specificationsInspect completed work for accuracy and functionalityTroubleshoot and correct installation issues or defectsMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirementsDocument work completed and report issues to supervisionCollaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedulesPerform other duties as assignedPreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in assembly and packaging roles preferred.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and assembly instructions.Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
