Job summary

EnerSys Advanced Systems is seeking an Assembler II to join our Br en-Tronics division. You will assemble batteries, chargers, and related components with precision, following detailed instructions and quality standards.

You will perform basic tests, apply adhesives, and solder via multiple methods, while using automated equipment and hand tools. This position involves a production-floor environment with physical demands and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1+ year experience in assembling or related work.
  • Good hand/eye coordination for precise handling and assembly of parts.
  • Able to work on a production floor and comfortable with electrical and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble/solder batteries, chargers, and accessories by hand or with simple tools following instructions.
  • Perform basic computer-based tests or readouts using meters or equipment.
  • Apply RTV, epoxy and glue; label or stamp areas on products.
  • Assemble connector assemblies by crimping wires to sockets/lugs.
  • Solder using surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering techniques.
  • Operate automated machinery as required.
  • Maintain and report equipment status; request supplies as needed.
  • Inspect assemblies for quality and compliance with standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

The Assembler II at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and manufacture of advanced power solutions, will be responsible for assembling electronics components accurately according to specifications and quality requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble/solder batteries, chargers, and accessories by hand, hand tools, simple automatic tools, and automated machines following supervisor’s directions and work instructions.
  • Perform multiple computer-based functional tests or use electrical meter or other simple equipment to obtain functional test readout at the same time.
  • Precisely apply RTV, epoxy and glue at specified area, apply labels or stamp at specified area on products, and perform meshing and taping on products.
  • Assemble connector assemblies by crimping medium wires to socket/lug.
  • Performs various types of soldering including surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering at a proficient level.
  • Accurately operate automated machines.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and report damaged equipment; contact supervisor/line leader if supplies are needed.
  • Clean and inspect assembles and/or sub-assemblies in conformance to manufacturing quality standards and initial products as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Able to work in the production floor and comfortable to encounter electrical and mechanical components.
General Job Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
