Job summary

UFP Site Built in Temple, TX is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble the finished product according to customer specifications. You will set up your work area, fit parts, and ensure quality of each assembled unit.

You will also operate hand tools, stack finished products, and label or band components as needed while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; 6 months manufacturing/assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work area and sets up equipment.
• Fits parts together according to instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete assembly.
• Stacks and packs finished products; may label/band components.
• Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup and equipment inspection checklists; reports issues.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs.
