Job summary

UFP Industries in Hillsboro, TX is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain the correct parts and supplies required for the operation.

Responsibilities include completing work area setup, assembling parts per instructions and quality standards, operating hand tools, stacking and labeling finished products, keeping the area safe and organized, and completing pre-shift inspection checklists.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience; 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work area setup.
  • Assemble parts per prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operate hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stack completed products and label or band as needed.
  • Ensure work area is safe, clean and organized; verify equipment is safe to operate.
  • Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report issues.
  • Maintain production records as required.
  • Check materials and finished products for standards compliance.
  • Perform duties in line with safety and quality procedures and standards.
  • Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
