Job summary

UFP Structural Packaging, LLC is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble the finished product according to customer specifications. The role requires securing and maintaining correct parts and supplies for the operation.

The position emphasizes completing work area setup, following prescribed instructions, and using hand tools to finish assembly. A safe, clean, and organized workspace with accurate production records is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required; however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may label, cover, and band finished components.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment; production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures; participates in safety and CI programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
